What is it?

IHM originally formed part of the Ayurvedic tradition of medicine which dates back nearly 4,000 years. In India traditionally infants still receive a daily massage from birth onwards to help maintain their health and well being.
In the west, IHM is becoming more popular due to it's effectiveness in minimising mental and emotional stress. It improves blood circulation to the head and neck area, improves memory and promotes clear thinking. Those people who suffer from Tinnitus, Migraine, Headaches, Insomnia, Depression and Vertigo should consider IHM as a way to bring fast relief.
Many companies nowadays offer their employees free or subsidised IHM treatments in the quest to improve staff morale, increase productivity and reduce absenteeism. Air conditioning and artificial lighting in the office environment often causes headaches, sitting slouched in front of the computer all day or hunched up behind a steering wheel can result in stress nodules in the neck and shoulder area. As IHM can be performed anywhere and is equally effective whether oils are used or not, it is the ideal way to relieve office related stress and allows companies to show that they care about their employee's wellbeing.
